A lazy day..........

Yesterday I got a little more serious about choosing the fabrics for my next project but I was having a lazy day and didn't press them or cut anything yet.  I did sew one backing together so I'm one day closer to loading a quilt on my longarm.
The orange cactus continues to bloom with 3 more buds yet to open.
One more beautiful red blossom.  I bought plant markers yesterday so I could mark what color all of the different cactus plants are.  Last summer my little signs faded in the sun so I had to get more serious about my marking method this year.

We all have to have quiet days. The cactus are beautiful. Your purchase of them was a good buy. Chris

Beautiful batiks, I think I recognise some from down here.Half the fun of a new project is looking at the fabrics, choosing, rejecting, and laying them out for US to see. Lovely. Cheers from Jean

Such a perfect way to wake up and begin my morning--seeing the thumbnail of your lovely palette among my list of favorite blogs. I could have guessed whose it was, even with seeing "Exuberant Color" beside it. Happy project planning, Wanda.

I am amazed at how long my cactus has been blooming this spring! I'm not sure what it means, but I sure have enjoyed the burst of color!

Those fabrics are wonderful together.

The cactus is such a pretty color. I can't believe it is still blooming!

Buying those cactus plants was really like storing up sunshine, wasn't it? You have a real green thumb for growing those! I like your fabric run. I dream of one day being close to as good as you at pulling colors. :)

I had a change of plans today and have a "stay at home and sew" day!! My Christmas cacti bloomed at Christmas! I have a fuchsia, a white and a lighter pink one. Love the color scheme for your new project.

Very beautiful cactus flowers. Smart lady to label them. I always think I'm going to and then get busy and forget!!

My "Christmas" cactus is blooming too. Very prolifically. As is my orchid. Four blooms open right now and more buds.
