Shopping, eating....

Yesterday I decided to go to one quilt shop in NC since we had a little more free time.  I really don't need any more fabric so I wasn't going to buy any but since we had nothing else to do........
Since I love burgers and my daughter had found this new place, we ended up eating here 3 times in 10 days.  I went to the Internet and found that there is one about 25 miles from me in IL so I may have to try it out and see if it compares with this one.  Reflecting in the window is Chico's where I also went shopping twice.  I have to drive about 30 miles from home to get to one so this was a treat to have one so convenient.  I'm flying home today.  It is hot in IL, hotter than any weather we had while I was here in NC. It wasn't even humid while I was here, just beautiful weather.

You were really fortunate to be in Charlotte without humidity in June. Safe travel home!

Ha ha. I have bought fabric for the same reason!

Of course, what is one to do when one finds a perfectly gorgeous fabric (or two)?

I'm so glad the NC weather was cool and non-humid... rare this time of year definitely!

I love a good burger too... wish there was a SmashBurger closer... would love to try it out!

Safe travels!

Gorgeous fabric find... Love it when we find something "when we were not going to buy a thing".

Another great photo of you. I head right for the sale rack at Chico's and can always find a good buy. BTW did your lovely beige outfit (opening night of your show) come from Chico's ? Loved that outfit. I think many did also by the comments made.

Now the "smash burger" is a name I have never heard before. Sounds like a good place to grab a quick bite to eat. Is it a thin burger ? Must hear more. (*._.*)

p.s. Are you reading all these comments on the plane ? Will be good to know when you are home safe and sound.

I'm with you on burgers. I've never heard of that chain before, so I'll check it out. Do you have Ruby's Diners in Illinois? They're really great and have free refills on fries (I know, this is evil). Hope you're having a good day...there's no place like home.

What a perfect way to celebrate the end to a wonderful week. Congratulations on a spectacular show and how hopefully you can put your feet up a bit and catch your breath after this whirlwind. Thanks for sharing all the great shots - it looks like your students were as happy to be there as you were.

Wanda, I am so glad that you had such a good time in NC and that the weather cooperated! I've had a computer crash and I've lost all my email contacts. I'm also not sure now if my google account has reverted to 'no reply'. Please let me know. Thanks.

Welcome home!!!! I hope you had a great trip. It looks as if you had a crowd of people looking at your quilts and many people in your classes. Where is the burger place in IL.?

You are looking mighty pretty there, Wanda! And I don't even bother telling myself any more that I'm not going to buy any more fabric. There is ALWAYS another piece (or more) that I need. LOL
