Inside on a hot day...........

I continued cutting fabrics and working on the new colorwash piece.  I'm not happy with the transition of green into rust and brown so I'll move the rust/brown area to the left and try to find better transitional fabrics.  I have quite a few that are green/brown but I need more.
I needed to clean up the pile of tiny pieces so I decided to do 2 more and then put the scraps away.
I quilted one last night with straight lines and variegated thread.  I'm not happy with the distribution of the colors in the thread though.  I can't figure out what thread I used for quilting on the first one that I did last year.

Beautiful work as always!
I love using variegated thread. I have a notebook I write each quilted piece in, noting the thread used in top and bottom.

I love these, Wanda. Each so unique. How ever did you think to do this with little bits of scraps. Awesome little pieces of art.

Wow Wanda! Love your small pieces! Did you just lay them down and then stitch over them? Your colorwash work is always so neat!

Love these! The fabric looks like it is flowing across the page. Looks like so much fun. Reminds me of melting crayons in an electric frying pan and then pressing the paper down.

I was wondering the same thing as Connie - did you glue or spray or are they just held down by the sitching? Lovely mini work of art.

You have always had a great 'eye' for transition with your color wash fabrics. I know you will find the fabrics you need and will have it moved to perfection.

Love those 'scrappy' pieces...

If you are not pleased with your thread choice on your last piece, you can always send it to me. I like it lots!

Gorgeous -- all of them! I love the little pieces -- what a joy they must be to look at and study all those wonderful tiny pieces.

Beautiful as always. I see what you mean about the thread though especially in the light areas of the little quilt.
