As I started sorting pieces I'm trying to decide how to divide them up for storage in the project box. Also is a strip 3" or shorter a chunk instead of a strip?
While I was in the basement doing a load of laundry, I pressed the binding fabric for this quilt and cut the 7 strips needed. Maybe I'll get it sewn onto the quilt today.
When I went out to get the mail, I noticed the Weigela bushes are in bloom. There is a Redbud tree growing right next to it on the back side of these 2 bushes.
I know you wanted to see a closer view of the blooms. These pink ones and my red one are the only ones left now. The pale pink one had been struggling so I had it cut down. The red one blooms later.
One Lenten Rose bloom was facing up instead of hanging down like the rest of the blooms so I had to have a photo of it.
There was some chocolate chip cookie dough in the refrigerator so I did some baking last night. Also did some testing. They passed the test.

Glad the cookies passed the test 😉….they look delicious. I’m probably weird as I like sorting my scraps but even better is sorting scraps from my friends. How fun a Lenten Roses bloom was facing up!
I'm not sure if 3 inches counts as a strip but it is strip shape. I haven't made cookies in ages. All the plants are looking good and even though the temperature keeps going up and down it feels better than it did a couple months ago
LOL -- we get hung up by terminology. Don't let that stop your sorting project. I wasn't aware of Lenten roses (hellebore) until I saw one in a friend's garden. So pretty!
I have scraps sorted and stored in so many ways it is overwhelming. Strips, squares, by color chunks, triangles. I've been tempted to box some of them up and ship them off to the quilt bloggers who love working with little scraps, if only the postage wasn't so outrageous and getting worse. Hellebores have become one of my favorite plants. They stay nice and green all summer, the bloom period lasts a long time, and best of all, the deer don't eat them.

Nice Sunday Post Wanda ~ enjoyed every photo and dialog of your day on Saturday.
I tend to save leftovers by color, not shape. And I finally set up a resource box for "multicolor" to handle the ones that don't know what color they are (but they go with lots of others). It is cool here - which is good since one of our AC units died yesterday. At 19 years of age, it will be replaced (along with its sister unit) - costly project to be sure. Glad I have a stash to work from until that bill is taken care of.
It's so important to test cookies to make sure they are OK. Which makes me think of the wonderful Winnie the Pooh episode where Pooh tested the honey in a new pot until it was all gone. I see you avoided that outcome with your cookies.

I've never heard of that pink bush but it's spectacular!
