Yesterday's food projects were fudge and pink Spritz cookies. I forgot to take a photo of the cookies.
I chose the backing (the light print) and the binding (red print) to finish the Christmas table runner. I also found a piece of batting the exact size I needed. Maybe I'll get it layered and quilted today.
In the box with the squares (that were used for the table runner) was a group of 1.5" strips. I don't remember cutting them so maybe they were cut to use up the ends of some of the Christmas fabrics. I'm sewing 22 of them together and will cross cut the strata and create some kind of a design for a table mat. The pile at the left is waiting to be sewn on.

I love, love , love the Christmas fabric you selected for the backing of the table runner. Mmmmmm, the fudge looks delicious!
It’s lovely to be seeing your seasonal projects in the sewing room AND the kitchen. I did a little this week, with more to come. -Roxanne
That backing fabric is really so pretty, Wanda ;)))) Between piecing and baking, you've been a busy gal;)))
Only 14 degrees this morning; Tom's out for an early haircut and i will be starting to decorate my little trees. I will be separating out the bigger ornaments to gift to my children this year as they don't go well on these smaller trees...so many memories in those....

Theres nothing prettier than a Christmas table mat from Wanda’s studio’s .
Great Christmas pieces! I haven't been able to even pull out the box of Christmas fabrics- have a lot of flannel pillowcases to make for gifts. It is harder to find good flannel to make them and I didn't find it until Thanksgiving.
That holiday print is perfect for a backing. It's one of those fabrics that loses it's design when cut up into small pieces. I hope you can get the oven looked at soon and that it isn't a major repair.

The fudge looks yummy! I have to get myself together and start planning for Christmas. This cold has really messed up my energy and drive to get stuff done.
I love fudge but I haven't made any in awhile I'm not sure if I will make it if I do I need to do it - I haven't made any cookies either
The backing fabric for your Christmas table runner is past perfect and will make the runner charmingly reversible!
Did your oven start behaving? Your fudge looks scrumptious and I love spritz cookies but have been too tired to mix up the stiff batter. Lupus flares and fatigue is the pits. I sit and read too much so gain weight and then should avoid cookies and such. Bummer!
We ended up with abut 8" of snow yesterday so I went out and shoveled a bit. Hope our grocery delivery won't have a problem getting down the driveway this afternoon!
Hugs!
