Busy day..................

I decided to do two loads of laundry yesterday so while I was in the basement I was looking through all of my flannel fabric.  I had something specific in mind which I haven't found yet.  When I saw the leftover pink with bears I decided to pull all of the others that would go with it for a baby girl quilt.  I think I'll use the diagonal plaid on the back but there might be a little of it that I can use on the front, depending on the size quilt I make.  If I keep it to 34" square, there would be a strip that I can use.

I baked a batch of shortbread cookies and mixed a batch of Kringlas that is in the refrigerator for the time being.

Snow was predicted to start sometime before midnight last night, so our clean sidewalks will probably be covered this morning.  38 degrees predicted for 2 days midweek with rain.  A little bit of everything, and 0 for Saturday morning.

You have a lovely selection of flannels that will make a very snuggly baby quilt. We have clear sidewalks but there’s still snow on everything, trees, roofs and the ground. We have a bird bath with a heater that keeps it from freezing although, in the single digits, there is a skim of ice on part of the water. We had some deer come by for a drink last night.

The flannel is so pretty! It will make a very cute baby quilt. No snow here yesterday (Saturday) and today (Sunday) the temp will be up to 35 so that's not too bad. I am still just staying inside all day to sew!

A spontaneous project will be great fun -- and flannel sounds cozy on this snowy Sunday morning.

What a pretty baby girl quilt THAT will be! Soft and cuddly, too. DH is baking bread this morning so the house smells wonderful. Maybe he'll make some cookies, too (shortbread sounds good).

What an adorable flannel quilt that will be with its grays, creams, and pinks!
Cookies! Oh, yum! We have a shortbread recipe from a dearly departed friend that we'll use.
Our Friday snow has mostly melted and now we have a 60% chance of more snow tomorrow.

Hugs!

A lovely array of feminine flannel fabrics surrounding your darling bears and fun kitty cats. Would love to make a shirt or two out of those plaids. Your Christmas cookies photo adds to the “it’s the wonderful Christmas season” !
