Unpressed progress....................

I'm working on the border blocks for the purple Rosy and I can't press them until I know where they will end up on the quilt.  That is, if I want seams to nest, which I do.  There are 4 of each of these as well as 4 of the one I showed previously.

This is how they fit along the center of the quilt.  I have the larger squares all up on the wall and need to piece more of the sections of 6 smaller squares and sew them to the large square sections.  It is the most boring part of the piecing.  I might look for a couple more choices of fabric for the smaller squares.

I usually don't decorate outside for winter/Christmas but I have had some pieces gifted to me and help putting it all up.  I know it is early but I need to accept the help when it is offered.  There will be more added as the week goes on.

I gave up on the table that has been on my porch with pots of pansies on it.  It had seen better days and in its fragile condition, it was time to remove it.

It was in the mid 50s yesterday and the same predicted for today.  Then mid 60s for 2 days.  All of that after 20s and 30s for a couple days.  Crazy fall weather.

I love the vibrant purples in your WIP. And the red front door is wonderful! The chrysanthemum on my front stoop got nipped earlier in the week, but I'm not quite ready to get out Christmas decor.

Oh I love your little tree on the front stoop--so pretty, Wanda;)))
The purples around Rosy will make such a lovely border. S
Still in the low 40's here this morning...I am still waking up too early with the time change!!
We are still in the planning stages for turkey day here...no Christmas decor as yet...usually we will begin to think about it the weekend after Thanksgiving...Hope you enjoyed your family time...;)))
hugs, Julierose

It's not too early to start outside decorating and that's a cute little tree. Take advantage of that help and those gifted pieces!

I think you have ALL the purple fabrics that has ever been produced in your Rosy top. 🤗 I too love your tree at your front door entrance it looks so welcoming. And not too early for winter or Christmas…my son puts his tree up day after Halloween for the next two holidays. He loves the festive lights.

Honestly, it is not too early to start decorating. Here there are loads of houses with their holiday lights out (mostly the ones with all white but there are a few multi-colors as well). So far no Christmas blow up figures and only a few skeletons still hanging around. Turkeys are the focus for now. And yes, we do need to accept help when it is offered (even those of us who try to do it all ourselves (like yours truly)).
