I was checking out all of the pieces for the last 2 borders on the Rosy quilt. It will be pieced in sections of 3 squares. The pieced strips were left over from making the 9 patches.
I got 15 segments out of the pieced strips so now I just need to add one square to each of them for 15 border strips. I will need 48 of them plus corner units (not figured out yet). I have some leftover 9 patches which I could add a small border to, to fit the corners. I'm not sure how that will look so I'll wait until I have all of the side borders pieced.
We hadn't had any snow as of bedtime last night. There might be some flurries overnight so I'll check early this morning.

Purple Rosy's going to be pretty!
Purple Rosy will be so lovely in those colorways...;))
We are fogged in this morning at 53 degrees; cold front has yet to make its appearance here. So damp, dark and gray out there...
and most of the leaves have fallen now--just a few hardy oak leaves hanging on...they are always the last to go...
Hugs, Julierose
It rained most of yesterday but we did not receive any of the predicted snow overnight. I love it when I can use leftover pieces in the borders. You are very organized with your leftovers but me, not so much, lol. I like to use them right away, if I can.
I really like the intensity of the purples you've chosen. 8" of snow so far....
You have so many wonderful purple fabrics!
Gotta love purple. I do the same kind of thing with my end cuts whenever possible.
Love the purple and how marvelous to already have pairs of squares ready to go!
In 2017, I made DS2 a scrappy purple quilt with a smattering of other colors and named it Purple Haze because of that 1960s song. What can I say?
No snow here but a low of 29*F tonight.
Hugs!
I love all your purples I need to get busy today and see what I can accomplish.
Your artist creativity shows up even in your prep displays. Another Purple passion in the works. 👌
