Sample block and other things...............

I made one sample block for the corners (bottom left corner).  This one is  made with just 2 fabrics but the 4 I will make (now that I know it works) will be an assortment of fabrics, just like the side border blocks.  I will be happy to have this quilt top off the design wall.  I don't know why the camera thought it should look pink in this photo.  It is very purple.

I finished sewing these blocks and got them trimmed.  This is one batch of them and there are 2 alike of most of them.

This is the rest of them, so far.  I won't know how many more I need until I can start working on the design wall.  All of the fabrics are Kaffe collective fabrics except the dark blue one on the right.  It is a Martha Negley fabric.

The sky was pretty last night.  Those are Redbud tree branches with all their seed pods hanging on them.

The champagne color bloom has a slight peachy color.  It is hanging with its buddy, the deep rose bloom.

The second plant with pink rimmed white petals is blooming now.  I love this one.

We had a beautiful sunset last night too, probably because we had sunshine for the first time in days. I like the corner solution. The camera has a mind of its own 😉

Pink Rosy is certainly eye candy!
Love the colorful strips you've sewn in preparation for the next happy quilt.
Your cacti are a delight.
We had intermittent rain and cloud cover for most of yesterday along with chilly temps. Sunshine so far today.

Hugs!

You created the perfect corner block for Rosy ~ I enjoyed seeing such radiant fabrics for your next project. Plus more breathtaking cactus blossoms adding to your lovely Sunday post.

Pretty strip sets you've sewn. And Rosy is looking great, too...
Only 27 early this morning, but now up to 45--partly cloudy with rain expected tomorrow night.
I will be going shopping tomorrow for turkey-day stuff; then I'll have Tues-Wed to get the house ready for guests..
And, I am trying to re-organize and clean out old things I haven't used in years and most likely won't ever!! Setting up bags to be collected for a donation center week after Thanksgiving...
then before we know it Christmas will be upon us!!!!
Hugs, Julierose

a couple of my cactus's are loosing all their blossoms now at the same time but I still have a couple that will still be blooming for another week or two. The purple quilt seems to have taken more thought then some of your tops do but it is looking good.

My champagne one is already done the others are close to bloom. I just love them bursts of color they make. Your blocks look like luscious colors.
