I took both daylight and night photos of the front porch.
My front porch lights are motion activated so there is no way for me to take a photo of the porch without them unless I turn off the switch inside. Then it would be too dangerous for me to walk out there in the dark. If you click on the photo and enlarge it you can see the lights on the greenery are on.
Even though some of the other cactus plants had buds before the red one, red was the winner in this spot by the east window.
There is one pale pink bloom and the plant is loaded with buds. The one in the front left is a champagne color. I should have lots of flowers here in a couple days.
The parties are over, back to sewing soon.

Lovely entranceway you've created, Wanda--I really like your front door color, too...I have yellow and white and pink blooms on my cacti--so far....
50 here with the sun coming up over the hill this morning...
Hugs, Julierose
your entrance looks very nice! simple but tasteful the way I like it. You have had Xmas cactus's for many years I have heard of letting ice cubes melt in the pot on the soil for a slow release of water in small plants - have you ever tried that and do you know if there is any harm in using such a cold way for watering? Some of mine are very pot bound and without having large draining saucers under the plants I need to carry them to the sink to water and let drain
Nice decorations!
I will have to post images of my Christmas cactus. One of my fav plants. I have a two-tone white and pink one. I like all of your plants and their colors.
How festive, indoors and outside! If you put up a tree, hope you have help with that and decorating it!
Hugs!
Not only ready for the Holidays but all through the winter with your lovely front door entrance. I enjoy seeing all your varieties of cactus blossoms ~ I only have one Christmas cactus but it is loaded with blooming blossoms right now too.
Your front entry area is lovely! Not too fussy but just right. I have one pink bloom open on my earlier cactus but the second one is fully budded with about a week or so before it starts blooming. I am so happy that they have survived and thrived!
Love your tree in the planter. Is it real? Did you create it or purchase it? Love all your decorations.
How lovely your porch looks with the greenery and lights. I finally have some buds on three of my four cactus plants but none have opened yet.
The front entrance is so pretty!
Your decorations are beautiful! Hubby would disown me if I decorate before Thanksgiving, but I think the sooner the better - can enjoy longer 😊. I’m so envious of your cacti blooms!! I rooted a dozen clippings two years ago of an elderly plant that was about spent. To my surprise everyone survived. No blooms first season but hoping for some this year. - Beth in AL
Looks very festive both in daylight and night! So glad you had help to decorate!
