Not much progress....................

I got a few strips cut for quarter square triangles while I did a load of laundry.  I didn't get any farther, too much else needed to be taken care of.  Thanks to everyone who weighed in on my dotted fabric question yesterday.

It was a cloudy day yesterday with rain late in the day.  I took this photo with just the daylight coming in the east picture window.  The medium rose plant has some blooms and the champagne color in the striped pot should be blooming today.

84 years, didn't that used to sound old?  Like ancient?  I'm just happy I can still do what I love to do.

Yes, 84 used to sound ancient, but I also remember thinking my mom was ancient and about ready to keel over when I found out she was in her late 30s. Hey - I was about 5 at the time :-) 84 sounds less and less old the closer I get to it. I hope I still have my wits about me and still tossing the fabrics and stitching supplies if I make it that long.
Happy Birthday, hope you have a fantastic day!

Happy birthday! You are amazing! All that you do with sewing, baking, and the gardening is inspirational. I don't like those days when you have to break down and perform the mundane stuff - laundry, dishes, cleaning - but it can't be pushed to the side forever. After my 6 hour cleaning session last weekend, I will be pretty good for a while.

Happy birthday, Wanda! I am right behind you—will be 83 in May. I remember your 65th birthday, I think it was. Our art quilters were at your house and I gave you a t-shirt that said “Go to your studio and make stuff”, but you already had one. Can that be almost 20 years ago?

Well Happy Birthday Wanda! I wish I could say that in person to you. You are 84 years young. We are all glad you are able to find joy in your craft.
When I saw your lead-off image I thought, "oh, she is making a Christmas quilt." I thought it was a tree! So, my question is - have you ever made a Christmas quilt?

Happy 84th Birthday Wanda;))) Funny, people in their 70's used to seem ancient to me, but now i consider them youngsters!! hahaha
Everything is relative isn't it? Glad that you are still producing your lovely works and sharing them with us all...
30 this morning when I left to do my weekly food shop--i definitely wore my "puffy coat"--brrrr.
Just finished making banana-nut bread in my old bread machine which is still working fine. Like so many older items, really made well and to last.
hope your day is wonderful hugs, Julierose
P.S. when i saw the green triangles I thought it was a Christmas tree, too--such a lovely deep green in those...;)))

Happy, Happy Birthday, Wanda! I wish you a year filled with continued delight in creating your fantastic quilts. Thanks so much for this daily boost to look at our fabrics in new ways, too. Eighty-four can be a super year. I know because I'm just a month older than you. Cheers!!! Marnie

Wishing you a wonderful 84th birthday and hope you'll be able to continue making colorful and joyful quilts for years to come!
Will family or friends be coming to bring cake, cookies, and other yummy foods?
You certainly deserve to have a few days here and there when you don't accomplish much, so fret not.

Hugs!

Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday, Wanda! My experience with you is only through your blog, where your sharing blesses me, and all the others who come here. Besides that, it is evident that you bless many people in other parts of your life. I'm thanking God for all His blessing on you, and asking Him to give you an overflowing amount this year also.
