Starting one quilt, finishing another..................

The first two star blocks are made and I love them.  I didn't get any more pieces cut yesterday but I did pull some more light fabrics.

After cutting for 3 floral quilts I still have this much left.  None of this is Kaffe collective, it is mostly florals purchased from the 1990s to 2005.

This is a top view of the 2 big bins.  I need to sell a lot of it, probably for $5 a yard but need to decide how to group it and what size pieces to cut.  Any suggestions would be appreciated, especially if you might want to buy some of it.

This is a closer view of box one.

And a closer view of box 2.

My first idea for grouping was to pull all of the large prints to be sold as fat quarters.  There are lots of people making the Kaffe Seed Packet quilt and using fabrics other than just Kaffe and Philip Jacobs.  I used a large variety of fabrics in my Seed Packet quilt pictured here.  I would then group all of the small prints separately.

I trimmed the Confetti quilt and started the binding.  I'm hand stitching to the back on this one and using the same fabric that I have on the back of the quilt.

Happy Thanksgiving to my US friends!!!  I will be celebrating tomorrow.

another beautiful quilt in the making, your postage stamp reminds me of the retro tiny 9 patch I've been working on & when I think how many little squares before it's over with makes me want to faint😄wishing you a beautiful & memorable Thanksgiving!

no idea on how you should do the yardage and pricing for the fabric in the bins. I have so much here I am trying to use up but sometimes feel like I need to sell a bit too

I'd probably bundle the fabric by lights, mediums, and darks. Or by color with a range of values in each bundle. But that might be difficult with these fabrics? A blind grab-bag could be fun to do, and maybe less work? Though I'm not sure they'd sell as well as bundles where you can see what you will get. sigh...I'm not being very helpful, am I?

I love me a good fat quarter or half yard. That said, I literally have no space for more fabric right now. Fabric is falling off my shelves and the tub lids no longer close. After the initial "Rats! I'm too late" moment, I'm quite happy others beat me to the bundles I was interested in during your last sale! :-)

And from the last post - I love the way the polka dots play with the florals. And the scrappy border suits the center more than a single-fabric one would have been.

I agree, your stars are off to a sparkling start . And my oh my what a dazzling display of fabrics. Your inventory always amazes me.

There's a variable star design in Quilts from an English Village. The background is all-the-same, a busy print. The stars are a variety. Hmmm. I've been contemplating how to use up my realistic florals (my stash of them is a lot less than yours) and that might be the way to do it..........Happy Thanksgiving!

What happy stars and I look forward to seeing this quilt grow. I made my mother a quilt using these stars and the alternate blocks were King's Crown. The only difference in the blocks is that in the King's Crown block, the Flying Geese star points are turned inward.
Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!!

Hugs!
