This Kaffe stripe fabric is the one I had been thinking about using for binding on my pink/gray zig zag quilt. I looked last night and found 2 small pieces of it.
I think it will work OK and just add to the quirkiness of the quilt which is titled "1956". The pink/gray combination takes me back to my sophomore year in high school in 1956 (yes, I'm really that old!). The flowers will be in parts of the binding and other areas might just have the gray/white wide stripe. This binding will probably be hand finished somewhere near the middle of the month.
Yesterday was a pretty lazy day, I can't even remember what I did for most of the day. I did some grocery shopping around 5 p.m., just before it got dark. That is the last evening shopping I will do until it is light again at least as late as 6. Daylight savings time ended at 2 a.m. today and it will be dark before 5 p.m. for several months. I had a few clocks I needed to reset manually. I'm glad the Fitbit, Smartphone and computer all update automatically.

I have one clock that I just press the "DST" button and it changes. Then there is one that requires a full hands on reset. I am glad all the others change automatically. - I am not sure about my car. I guess I will know when I start it up.
Love the name of your quilt! We are resetting our grandfather clock, my Granny's old clock, and the appliance clocks.
Flashback! I made a pair of pink and gray peddle-pushers back in the day.
We were up at 5:30 am EST to watch the postponed F1 Race Quali!!!
I dislike this week after time change when you're always tired and/or hungry at the wrong time!! I wish they would choose one or the other and stick with it!! Nuff said!!
It was only 33 this morning and very windy--more leaves streaming down--it won't be long until the trees will be totally bare. I do kind of like that B&W look...
hugs, Julierose
I say put the time half way between and leave it. There are a few places in the world with a half hour offset. Sigh...end of whine :-)
I *am* glad that the 2 clocks that we needed a ladder to change are gone. One decided keeping time was no longer it's mission in life and I claimed the spot for granddaughter photos. The other was replaced by one that changes time automatically. I hope the battery in that one lasts a looooooooong time!
Nice choice for the binding, and the quilt name is great for the color combination. IIRC, gray (or was it black?) and turquoise was also quite popular then too?
that strip is perfect for it!! I am glad too that the clocks mostly all reset themselves I have a couple that don't the stove and microwave being two of them. I don't drive very often after dark anymore - in fact I don't remember the last time I drove after dark - I avoid it
I got all the clocks changed except for the cars. The 2018 model is tricky. The 2021 model is somewhat easier.
Great binding ideas for you 1956 quilt! I was in kindergarten then.
I am not looking forward to earlier sunsets and wonder why we still change use Daylight Savings Time. As a kid I was told it was to give the farmers daylight in the early morning so they had a longer workday. True? I don't know. I do remember when they changed the Fall Back so there was more light for trick-or-treating - to make the candy makers happy.
We have lots of clocks to manually change. Bother!
Love your binding choice Wanda. The larger floral blooms break up the grey stripe nicely in the narrow segments of the binding.
Dots, stripes, and florals ~ all in your pink ‘n gray 1956 theme. 🤗
“Happy Days” certainly is a forever feeling for those of us in our 80’s.
Time Change ~ I like ‘JustGail’s’ thoughts on off set a half hour … year round !
Very inspiring use of Kaffes.
That stripe will be so cute for the pink and black quilt. I have only been changing the clocks as I come across them. The microwave and oven have been changed, and of course the alarm clock. I changed the car this morning on my way to work. Since I'm not using my VCR anymore, I didn't have that to change. Phones and apple watch change by themselves.
