And now there are 8............

I finished cleaning the basement and baked the 2 batches of cookies.  Then I decided I should try to clean off the sewing machine cabinet in the main floor studio.  I had the beginnings of 2 blocks and the pile of solid colors laying there so I made 4 more blocks.

Then I took them down to the basement and added them to the first 4 blocks.  The color is more true on the photo above.  They look pretty washed out in this photo.

We're expecting 3 really warm days in a row starting today.  We need rain and there might be some Tues. night into Wednesday so I hope it really happens.

Love the colours on these new blocks. After last weeks warmer weather I am now back into thermals!! We've had rain for a couple of days and although the sun is out today it's not very warm. Hope you get the rain you need but not too much of it :)

I do love this style block of yours - your frequent scrappy batiks AND these saturated solids.

Love those solids, "blocks of splendor".

I know your group will inspire all kinds of designing fun today.

We are redoing the roof. Hope there is no rain until done on Thursday. Love your blocks, from Yuba City, CA.

Wow - those blocks really pop! Love all that colour, which surprised me because I generally don't like the solids but, of course, you make them work fabulously well. I think we're going to get a few warmer days this week as well, although we don't need more rain at this point.

As always, I love the things you do! I had a great time at the AQS Quilt Week in Paducah followed by a wonderful week in Champaign/Urbana. I think my blood has gotten thiner by moving to Alabama because we froze. Now we are back home and enjoying the warm weather. All the same, I wish I lived close to you so I could learn from you. I bought some Australian prints which I love. Wish I had bought more. Anyway, now I have to figure out how to use them. I also bought a wonderful black with dots fabric for another project that looks wonderful with the prints, and I think it would make wonderful setting strips. Wish I knew how to send pictures so you could see what I am talking about. I may try to order more of both the prints and the black with dots, but can't do that for a few months:) I also bought my 1st kit. It has Kaffe Fassett fabrics. Love the fabrics and the pattern.

Beautiful blocks, Wanda! Such scrumptious colors. Are they from one manufacturer or several? They blend so well.
