Playing with red............

My two friends who come over to sew on a regular basis were here yesterday.  This is the pile of fabrics I was working with.  The project is still a little confusing to look at so I'll wait to show it when it has more order to it.

Last night while I watched TV I looked through the box of Kaffe 2" strips and chose some sets of 3 to make blocks for my Kaffe orphan block quilt.  I need some filler blocks to have enough for a decent size quilt.

I am curious to see what the "reds" will become.

Fun looking at your fabrics with you, fabrics often dictate the design you end up with.

OMG I have seen millions of quilts, but your series of Crooked Cobblestones are just gorgeous!!! they are my go to inspiration because I am just starting to quilt. by hand I might add... not even Kaffe makes yours justice!
you see I knit, crochet, weave, paint, etc., everything crafty... I have a 16 year old boy with CP, and I´m always home taking care of him, so my hands are my therapy!! love your pieces... there are beautiful! thank you for sharing... so much!! hope I can show you some pretty soon, love Patty

Missed reading this post Wanda, love the sets of strips paired up but I can't recall if you ever posted the Kaffe orphan block quilt.
