We had an icy mix overnight into yesterday morning. This is the Forsythia outside my kitchen window.
When I went out to get my mail I saw the Goldmound Spirea bush was covered in ice too. Our temperature was just at freezing overnight and then warmed into the morning.
It is pretty to look at and nice that it didn't last long.

ALWAYS good when the ice melts quickly!
We usually get your weather in 2 days. I better expect it by Tuesday.
It is 39 degrees outside but feels much colder. I’m so waiting for warmer weather.
Oooh, the top photo would make such a pretty color palette for a quilt. Glad the ice didn't stick around long for you.
Ooooh hope that's not what's coming our way this week--they still don't know if it'll be snow or freezing rain here on the SE CT Coast with the Nor'Easter aiming at us....:000
The tips of all my bulb leaves look frost bitten--they're mostly just beginning to push through though, so maybe they'll be ok....
hugs, Stay warm Julierose
Nobody does it like Mother Nature. So pretty, and glad you captured those photos. I hope that there was no ice on your driveway when you walked out for your mail. But it see your box is very close to your house.
Sounds like all of us who live "Up North" are coping with these fluctuating temps, anxiously waiting for spring, to finally come... It's been a very gloomy winter up here in the valley. Maybe 3 days of full sun.

Today it is nice here in Virginia so we did a few spring gardening jobs. Felt so good to be outside and at least one spot looks a lot better. Quite a bit more to go. Ha! May get snow here Tuesday and Wednesday.
Oh brrrr......
