I was about half done cutting the squares for more preemie quilts on Sunday so I decided to just go for it and cut ALL of the scraps. The box is EMPTY! I have enough 3.5" squares cut for 14 little quilts with 48 pieces each. The bag behind them is all of the scraps ready for someone who makes dog beds. I also pieced 9 backings from larger strips and I have a enough yardage for 3 more backings.
Last night I was back at going through my batik yardage and pulled more mottled batiks. I still have to do my greens, purples, browns, oranges and yellows.
We had a little mini whiteout yesterday but didn't end up with any accumulating snow. Chicago however got 2 - 3" in several areas.

Those mottled batiks make my heart sing. I really love the orange one just right of center.
I was playing with my batiks last night. Made my first (and last) bowl cozy. Just seemed like a lot of fiddling when I could use a potholder for the same thing (not in the microwave)! I enjoy cutting up scraps. They don't seem so "scrap" anymore!
Good job getting all that flannel cut. That could be one of those TV watching/sewing projects. More beautiful batiks! I especially like the light one on the left and the orange with the turquoise flecks.
Pretty fabric. Quilting is such a great thing when it’s cold out.
Oh Wanda, you design, cut, stitch, and quilt more than anyone I know. I do all of this through you, and have said that before.
When you have cool temps we have warm... funny how that always happens. Robins have been back the past week or so and singing their song. And my little male quail are non stop singing their mating call. We literally have at least 200 here at our place.
