I have had this project in a box for quite awhile. I hadn't committed to cutting that beautiful batik into the alternating blocks. I think I'm ready now though. Here is the post where the blocks are laying on it. I had 23 pieced blocks on that post, there are 24 now. With 24 alternate squares it will make a 6 x 8 layout for a quilt approximately 48" x 64". When I get that sewn I can decide if it needs a border to become a larger quilt.
I have added a link on the right sidebar for my new website. When you get to the website, the link to the shop is in the top right corner of the banner. Eventually we hope to have the blog integrated into that site. Right now we're having some technical problems with it. Anyone who has built a website knows there will always be a few quirky situations leading up to the final product.

Having trouble finding the link to your shop!
Those blocks are pretty. They look like jewels. Setting them with the plain blocks with make them pop.
The new site looks great. I love the new quilt, I looked at the previous post and it looks like a beautiful foggy autumn morning.. like you could just sink in to it.... that may not be how it will look when you get it together but what ever you do I know it will be beautiful.
I can understand why you waited to cut into that fabric, it's very pretty. I was looking for backing from my stash and found some just too pretty to cut up or even use as backing, have no clue what to do with it, but like you, I'll wait.
I had to chuckle silently to myself when I read your comment "Anyone who has built a website knows there will always be a few quirky situations leading up to the final product.". I was a computer programmer in my former life, and any software anyone creates, if it's at all complex, will have bugs!
Oh Wanda your leaf batik is beautiful. I did click back to your layout of stars and I can hardly wait to see it complete. I agree with Linda P, she gave a lovely description of what it will look like.
Did I understand right that you will be combining your blog and shop together and we can see both together, without clicking from one to the other ?
I'm excited for this to happen. JJM
Congratulations on the opening of your new store!! Your quilts are so amazing - wishing you great success!! - ;))
Congratulations on the new store! Love what you have done with those beautiful batiks.
I love batiks and the one with the leaves is fantastic. The more power to you because you decided to cut it - I would be a chicken!
