Machine quilted...............

I pulled a group of thread that I thought I would need for quilting the rainbow.

I ditch quilted every seam.  The next step...it is 3/4" longer on the left side than it is on the right side.  I have to decide whether to leave it like that since all of the strips in it are not straight cuts or trim it and make it square.  Also I need to choose binding.  Since I will be gone most of the day today it probably won't be a November finish.

I would be very tempted to leave it as it is. Your photo sort of fools the eye, but I can now see where you are talking about on the left. But if it is to hang on a wall, it will need to be straight. Decisions, decisions......

Whichever decision you make, this is a beautiful piece.

Really pretty quilt and the fabric is just gorgeous. I know it will turn out great since you are the artist in this.

While I would be tempted to leave it, I would probably square it up. But it depends on the size and what it will be used for.
I have a wall quilt that I left longer on one side and it drives me crazy if I look at it much.

Very pretty piece!

I like it just as it is. I think trimming it to square will take away something from it.

Regardless of the final shape, I love the optical effect of this quilt.

You might try making it even when you add the binding since the difference would only be 3/8 inches on either end of the shorter side. You could use a similar color as the outside border and the slight difference would blend in, or you could use a new color and it would still fit in with the way you've pieced the quilt with different colors being in different widths already.

If it were mine, I would remove the last row of fabric on the side that needs trimming and cut away 3/4 inch of the second fabric then re sew the outer fabric. By doing that you would move the uneven part away from what the eyes want to see as even. I hope that made sense. I know how but I'm not good at explaining it.
