I didn't have any finishes for June yet so as the last days approach I had to get busy. I finished this one yesterday.
I just did a large meander, the same as I did on this one back in February.
It ended up 55" x 75.5".
To be able to pin this on my design wall I first had to use 4 sheets on a lint roller to clean all of the threads off the wall. Otherwise the back of this quilt would be covered with threads.
I used the same backing fabric as is on the other similar flannel quilt, a 60" flannel print from 1996.
This makes 17 finishes in the first 6 months of 2015. 18 would sound so much better so I'll look today for another fast one to finish.

That is a gorgeous quilt, Wanda.
I don't remember seeing photos as you worked on this one but you work on so many it's hard to keep up haha - I love the star points and the colours :)
Is the top flannel too? I have a quilt I am doing and have thought about putting flannel on the back and cotton prints on the front. I want it to have a bit of a 'shabby chic' look.
Congrats on your finishes! I started the year like gangbusters, but haven't finished anything recently ... Did you do the compasses in flannel, as well?
I really like the compass blocks. The add a little extra to this quilt. 17 finishes for the year so far is great! I will have 9 which is a typical amount for me.
You are amazing! That looks really nice too.
This is a beautiful quilt. Looks very comfy and classy.
I had to chuckle over your comment that 18 finishes sounds better than 17. My obsessive-compulsive mind likes even numbers too; if it doesn't happen for you, just remember 17 is a prime number. I like the word "prime". It has a positive connotation. 17 is an impressive finish number, nonetheless!
I've made it through another month with no finishes. I've made progress but nothing across the finish line. I am wildly hopeful for July and August though! I love this quilt. The compass blocks are just enough to make this very special.
Beautiful quilt Wanda, I am thinking those compass blocks were paper pieced, I don't remember seeing you do them but then, I've been busy too. 18 quilts in 6 months is a tremendous accomplishment especially since your quilts are works of art and not just slapped together.
Just gorgeous, Wanda! The plain and the fancy mingling together in a lovely dance. It is definitely a WANDA quilt!
Regardless of whether 17 or 18 is a "better" number, I hope you are satisfied with what you've accomplished! We all know it's A LOT, and that it can't honestly be measured in finished quilts. This flannel quilt is so pretty; very attractive, though not very like your regular exuberant quilts. Here's to the next six months!
Love the warm colours in this quilt - and I reckon 17 is pretty good!!! In fact it's marvellous.
I agree with Mystic Quilter. I love the warm colors. Actually, I love everything about your quilt.
