Blazing Star quilt top.............

I sewed the last few setting triangles on last night.  I should have cut the corner triangles about 1/2" larger.  I will need to trim the four sides about 1/4" to match the size of the corners.  It ended up about 58" x 76".

I have moved the triangle project over to this design wall now and started the photography in steps to show the assembly.

The stars are dazzling! Absolutely spot on all the way around.

It just says SPRING to me! The light green magnifies the colors. A few crocuses and snow iris emerged this week and I could use full green spring.

Wanda I know you schedule your post like I do and I am wondering how close the tornado in IL was to you last night - by looking at the map I think it was pretty close - I hope you had no damage and that you stayed safe in your basement!

I love the way that green sets those colors off and brings spring into those vibrant colors!!!

These stars are awesome, so two-dimentional! Are they difficult to piece? I found a pattern on Jinny Beyer's site, but her stars have such long, skinny points. Is this a pattern from a book? Your work is very inspiring!

Majorly stunning Wanda! Each block looks like different gem cuts! So glad you weren't effected by the strong storms yesterday!

This may seem like an odd comment, but I love those little, tiny cornerstones!

The Blazing Stars top is fabulous! The stars really, really pop out and are wonderfully showcased by the setting.
