Cleaning off the sewing cabinet.......

I needed to clear off my sewing machine cabinet so I can sew the binding on the Trip Around the World quilt.  There were 3 mug rugs waiting for quilting and binding so I took care of that while I watched TV.  I cut the quilt binding and pieced it together and brought the quilt up from the basement.  By then it was too late to sew it on so I'll do it today.

Happy Binding! I just love clearing my sewing area on Friday so I can dig in all day Saturday. That's my favorite way to enjoy a winter weekend.

What do you do with all those mug rugs? Just curious....

Have fun with your hand binding. Hopefully it is a little warmer where you are.

The 'clean up" sewing looks wonderful.

I love your batik mug rugs, Wanda. You inspired me to make a few last year. I gave them away to family and friends. Oh my. They were such a HIT. Everyone that got one said they were little pieces of art and LOVED them! They were made from batik scraps. Scraps!

Your mug rugs are always delightful to see. And I can just see you whizzing along stitching the binding on your quilt today. I see it is 15 degrees right now in Sandwich, with a real feel of 2 degrees... A good day to be inside.

Wanda,

I love all your mug rugs. I was thinking of making some with my scraps, but the thought of piecing the binding is getting in my way. Do you have an easy way of matching the binding when you go around?
