Still hand sewing...........

I'm still hand sewing the binding on the Christmas quilt.  I have half of one long side left to finish.  One of things I had to clear off my cutting table 2 days ago was my African and Bali batik 2.5" strips.  I have 72 different fabrics in the group and will probably do another random plank type quilt with them.
This is what I see when I look across the street from my front door.  Those are squirrel nests up in the big trees.  It looks like there might be a lot of little ones running around next year.

Ooh, I love those fabrics! They will make a really rich looking quilt.
Wow, I never knew that squirrels made nests. We've got lots around here but I've never seen them at a nest. I guess I didn't think about it.

Looks like you have some sewing planned. The sad thing about Squirrel nests are they abandon them and they finally blow out of the treees. Stay warm. Chris

I never knew that those were squirrel nests. For some reason, I thought they were a kind of birds' nest.
I love to see beautiful strips of fabric displayed like that. Looks exciting. All ready to become a quilt top.

Our community is built on what used to be a pecan farm. We see lots of squirrel nests as well!

I'm seeing that same thing in the yard behind us. I don't like it.

With the recent wind and rain, we've had several squirrel nests on the ground ...

Will be fun to watch this next random plank quilt develop!

I love batiks. THey are so easy and fun to work with. We will see some of those nests if all the leaves ever fall!

We don't have squirrels in New Zealand so I am not familiar with their nests. I guess the ones in evergreen trees stay hidden?

Gorgeous fabrics!

We have trees/woods on three sides of our home and see lots of squirrel nests.

We love watching the squirrels run around, climbing the pole to the bird feeder, etc.

Never have we seen baby squirrels, although I'd love to see them!
