When I took the last Vitamin C tablet out of the bottle I knew it was going to be an errand day. Then it became laundry day when I got home. I don't know why I didn't see that coming. Maybe today I won't put shoes on and then I can stay home all day and sew. Last night I photographed the blue and green fossil fern fabrics.
Then I took them down to the basement and pulled some Kaffe Fassett, Philip Jacobs and Martha Negley fabrics to go with them for another version of this quilt. I don't know if I can work with this many cool colors. I really love the warm ones.

Experiment with them. You might surprise yourself. Hope you get to sew. Chris
love those fossil ferns! your day yesterday sounds like part of mine - shopping to restock and laundry
I like that fossil fern material
It is going to be lovely.
Gorgeous fabric! Your quilt will be fantastic!
Aha! A big difference between us - these are my colors. I saw the picture and said "OOOH! Nice."
the warmer palettes are harder for me to work with.
I LOVE these fabrics and these colors! I love cool fabrics!
I love the fossil fern fabrics all by themselves. way cool!
It is interesting what we are drawn to, isn't it? When I saw the picture I thought it was beautiful. I am not sure I have a preference in doing quilts.

You can do it! I have every confidence in you. :)
Clicking on 'this quilt' I see the frosted ferns on your windows. Fun to see the similar feelings in your fossil ferns fabrics, you are getting ready to design into another fun quilt.
I am glad to learn you have feelings working with certain colors. Color really does affect my mood also.
The fabrics you sandwiched above and below the fossil ferns makes them come alive.

Lovely fabric picks. I must look for some of these fossil ferns. Thanks for the link to your past quilt and Jack Frost paintings.
Your photo of those fabrics is a palette that is right up my alley! Your post has made me think about my house decor which is almost all cool colors. No wonder I feel so sad when I pack away all of my Christmas reds! I think I'd better warm it up a bit around here...
It will be a beautiful quilt with sort of a tropical sea feel to it, I think.
What a gorgeous collection of those fossil fern fabrics. Wanda you do have the most beautiful fabrics- I am not sure why I don't have many of the fossil fern fabrics- probably because I never did find them on sale here in Canada.
I love this collection of fabrics - it will be another beauty. I hope that you are feeling well these days.
Warmest regards,
Anna
It will be beautiful!
yum yum yum
My daughter-in-law introduced me to the "Day Without Shoes" concept. I think it should be a floating national holiday - except that might be bad if there was only ONE day without shoes!
I love that line: "if I dont put any shos on maybe I can stay home all day"!
Those fossil fern fabrics are gorgerous. And while I also prefer bright colours, working with a cool palette for a change would be okay, especially in our current over-90* temperatures!
