Busy work......

I'm not ready to talk about my eye problem yet so I'll be showing the busy work I am doing to keep my mind off of it 24 hours a day.  Before I left and after I came home from my first medical appointment I cut 12 Christmas pillowcase kits for my church sewing circle.  I missed our meeting today so I might sew these at home before the next meeting.
My best friend from 5th grade through high school asked if I would make a couple doll quilts in the style of her childhood doll quilt.  I took a photo of it the last time we got together and she provided the fabrics.  They will both get borders and then be sewn right sides together with the back and batting and turned.  I have enough squares cut to make a third one with a mix of the 2 sets of fabrics.

That is the best thing to do when you're worrying, keep busy. I hope your week goes well.

Busy work for me is the best thing as well. When I am idle my mind takes over.

Keeping busy and doing nice things for others is the best way I know to deal with the situation. You're still in my prayers.

Yes, staying busy is a good idea, and much more productive than hand wringing. I look at some of my quilts now, and I remember what I was dealing with at the time (or watching on the TV, etc.) You are in my thoughts...

In stitches,
Teresa :o)

Such pretty Christmas prints for pillow cases. They will be treasured I can see that.

Your friend picked such pretty fabrics, they look as soft as a cloud. Are those quilts for her doll collection or for a grandchild ? Just curious.

Even though I saw it in person, I am still blown away at how much stash you have, that you can endlessly pull acres of fabrics to get so much done. You're my fabric stash idol! PS Handwork is the greatest for getting us through tough times.

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas". Love the little quilts. Are you going to the Quilt show this weekend at DuPage County Fairgrounds? It sounds like a nice show. I look forward to seeing it.
