The lighting isn't the best in the basement but I wanted to see all three of the finished Crooked Cobblestone quilts in one photo for comparison. They are in the order that I made them from left to right. They have 3 distinctly different personalities. Working in series is a quest for the best one I can make. Each one has something that I didn't feel was perfect so I made another. I love all three of them but there will probably be another some day, or maybe 2 or 3 more.
I finished the quilting on the 2 small ones the last 2 nights but I haven't done the binding on them yet. Again, I just needed to see them all together in one photo for a comparison. They cover a 9.5' area on three 4' design walls. On this one I stood back farther to get them all in and the color is different. I need to get some good daylight photos for really true color.

very interesting comparison of your quilts.
I am thinking of doing the same thing , working in a series. As I make a quilt I think of how much better it could have been if I would have done.....

Of course you would add your trademark zebra! I think the far right has the most center glow especially since it is framed with that dark border. You are making great headway on your show pieces.
They are all beautiful, but I think the one with the black and white borders is my favorite.

Working in a series... I like that idea. Seeing your pretty quilts here makes me want to give it a go.
I am drawn towards the ones without the borders. They create endless playfulness :)

looks like an art exhibit in your basement. I like them all.
I think the quilts are all great and I admire the ability you have to see the same thing so differently.

Your a Master when working with a color wash technique. I love the look so much that I had started to collect batiks when on sale. Been thinking I was out of my mind but maybe I'll search for more this year.

Your cobblestones are GORGEOUS! LOVE seeing them side by side!
I like them all but my favorite is the one on the right with the dark border. Not that I think all quilts have to have a border, but on this one I think the border frames the quilt nicely, giving a sort of background to the "stones".
It's very interesting to see them all together. You're inspiring me to delve into a theme sometime...someday.

My favorite is the third one. I love the color placement with the darker border and glowing center. This would make a stunning piece of liturgical art.

Seeing these all together it's clear how important grouping the lighter pieces in the center is to your overall effect, which is so lovely! Great job. It's hard to pick a favorite.
What a grand series ! I could not pick a favorite if I had too. Light warm centers graduating out to your deeper hues, so breathtaking.
Will you be selling your quilts at your daughters gallery in June also ?
