I worked all day at the sewing machine store yesterday. I thought we wouldn't be busy with 7" of snow on the ground, but we were very busy. Everyone must have had cabin fever and needed to run all of their errands. In the evening I finished one more mug rug. All of the pieces of patchwork were done previously and were stacked in a drawer.
This is the cute mug my grandson's girlfriend gave me for Christmas. Isn't that cute with a little zebra in the bottom? You can't use it with a drink that needs to be stirred though. I will be using it for decoration so it won't matter.
After I finished the mug rug I opened a king size batt to let it relax before I cut it into the 4 quilt shapes I need today.

Nice colors! :) I started my first quilt yesterday and im so excited! :) Kisses from Poland :)
Very cute and the zebra mug is perfect!
I love the look of your new mug rugs. I have never seen a mug designed like this one.
I have only made a few but like them. I always like the ones you make.

Hi Wanda,
Your mug rugs are great! Perfect for odds and ends of fabric (and I think they look better that way, rather than planned).
You got way more snow than we did out of that storm. Looks like the storm went more east from your area, and we were in the upper edge (we ended up with about 4 inches). Take care and stay warm!
Cute mug and mug rugs!!! I was wondering about the stirring bit.
What wonderful mug rugs, they are addictive aren't they?? The Zebra cup is sooo cute!
Cute mug. And cute mug rug. Thanks for reminding me. I have to take my batting out to let it relax too.
I love your mug rugs and that zebra mug is just too cute!
No matter where we live... getting out in the middle of January in, rain, snow or sleet...I agree with you "cabin fever" (*._,*)
I have seen a lot of little bugs and butterflies in the bottom of mugs before but never a lil zebra. Now that is cute.
Your mug rugs are wonderful lil creative quilts.

Love the zebra cup...nice surprise if someone is drinking to look down and see that. :) The mug rugs are colorful and cheerful too.
I used to work at a quilt store and it seemed the more snow we got the busier we were. People would think "projects" - have to get something to do during the snowstorm.

Your zebra cup is darling. Such fun! I like your mug rugs. I had not heard of that concept before. It is a good way to make little quilts with a purpose. Yours are very colorful
I want to know how you operate!
This evening I sat down and made a rough schedule of what I wanted to accomplish in 2012. This includes 4 wedding quilts (one of which is for my own daughter!), two baby quilts, and several more for auctions and whatnot.
Do you make a yearly/monthly/weekly schedule for quilting? You surely must.
Can you please share with us fellow ("yet lesser") quilters...your modus operandi(assuming no crime involved in this Latin phrase, of course.)
Thanks for your input.
Your mug rugs are wonderful, your binding perfect. Mine bindings are bulky and the corners aren't clean. How wide is your binding?
the mug rugs are cute and the Mug is great.
The mug rugs are so adorable and the mug is fabulous! That little zebra in the mug is such a fun touch!
I am a day late and a dollar short or so they say. I keep saying that I am going to make some mug rugs but just never get to them. Maybe tomorrow. I love using them when I have company. I used to by party napkins but now I use the mug rugs.
Your new mug is lovely. I also love the mug rugs.
I rather envy your snow. Our summer has vanished under rain and more rain.
