20 blocks......

I finished the last 3 blocks last night.

I put them up on the wall with the rest but the order may change after I get all of the sashing strips up there too.  I was too tired last night to do any more on it.

1960 Embroidery book, another treasure from the attic.

Love the new blocks! You are definitely in the home stretch.

The blocks look great. They seem to all fall into place with the sashing. The book is amazing to me in what we thought our style was many years ago. My mother gave me a table cloth she embroidered and nothing like what I thought she would have in her house. Chris

Wasn't embroidry the thing to do in the 60's and 70's?

Love seeing this quilt coming together!
Your attic must be an absolute treasure trove -- that little book looks fascinating!

Your quilt is looking great. I can't wait to see how it all pulls together once the striped sashing is in place.

That embroidery book looks wonderful. Love those lily-of-the-vakkeyon the cover. I just love all the older embroidery patterns.

You must have the best attic ever! It seems like one treasure after another is hiding up there.

That was obviously supposed to say lily-on-the-valley on the cover.

This is what happens when you are typing and the cat is in your lap wanting breakfast. ;-))

Have a good day!

Oh, yippee! You are moving right along, and it's really looking good. I love the old embroidery books, too, but I also know that I am not going to do any of it, just like to look. LOL

I REALLY like the look of your temperature right now - 68 looks so much better than the 83 we have so far (with much worse to come).

I too love this quilt and the sashing is perfect. Anxious to see this one finished.

I LOVED your trip through your attic. My gosh Wanda you have saved some amazing treasures. Plus some good ole corduroy.

I too made ALL of my garments and the kids garments too. We are a dying breed that is for sure.

I've never been a Kaffe fan, but I do like the look of this quilt. We've moved too many times for me to still have too many things from the 60"s, but embroidery was probably the first needleart my mom taught us. Either that or crocheting chains of yarn. LOL

Wanda, this is fabulous and you're not even done yet!! It's one of my favorites from the book.

I love this quilt. Your work is so inspiring. I guess it helps that we like the Kaffe fabrics.
