I have to convince myself that it is Friday today since it feels like Monday. It is a good thing that I have a page a day calendar on my computer desk to keep me straight. This year I had the Old Farmer's Almanac page a day and it has been very interesting. Today it says "When cooking parsnips, add a pinch of nutmeg to bring out their best flavor".

Final blocks, final layout
After company left last evening I made the final star block and a few more light blocks for the back of the quilt. I have a couple more leftover light blocks so I may still play with the layout for this. As far as the front goes I'm pretty sure this is the final layout. After I put the last star in I moved several other blocks around trying to spread out the colors more evenly. I'll take one last look at it this morning before I sew them together.

I certainly think you have exactly the right layout! Incredible!
This is beautiful. You are such an expert at color!
Gorgeous! I really like the stars, they are a nice touch.
Beautiful lay out!!!
Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.
Yes the week goes by sooooo quickly. There never seems enough hours in one day.
It looks great. I can't wait to see it all finished now.
It feels like Sunday to me!
I really like the final layout and the stars are a great addition.
Great layout, and the parsnip tip works... give it a try!
Final layout is grand! Love all the wonderful fabrics. And the fabrics for the back are so light and 'airy'. This will be a great reversible quilt. Light for the warmer months and the deep rich colors for cold months.

Wow, that is amazing as is everything you do. I love love love it. Alphabet blocks are cool. Got me thinking about my future quilts now... don't like A for Alex though .. bit fiddly! Wonderful blog. Brightens my day visiting yours with all your colour and ideas. Thanks
I love the idea of a huge H for the back! And the front is gorgeous -- just radiates colour and warmth!
Hi Wanda,
What a cute toothpick holder in the previous post! Makes me smile just looking at it.
Your H quilt is there. Bet you have it sewn by this point.
Funny you should mention parsnips; someone else's blog had a bit about searching for parsnips for their Thanksgiving meal. I haven't had them in a million years (my great-aunt cross-cut them and sauteed them in butter -- very yum as I recall).

The layout of your backing is just wonderful!! A secondary H, you just can't beat it. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Your layouts look great, both front and back. It is always fun to see what you are putting together.
Wonderful job! You are soooo prolific! Now I am absolutely certain that I'll need to make an H quilt!
I think the stars look fantastic! What a great touch.
One thing I notice in this photo is that there are some H blocks that look more like 5 lines because the connector piece gets lost. Just an observation.
Love it!
