It's my 9th blogiversary!!!!!.............

On July 4, 2007 at the urging of my friend Diane, I started my blog and it has been a wonderful journey!  Today is post #3489 in 3288 days.  And I thought I would run out of things to say.....
I love taking the photographs for the blog too.

Yesterday I changed my mind on the mindless piecing.  I was going to add more blocks and make it longer but instead I chose the Martha Negley twig fabric as a narrow border and decided to use the pieced strips as borders.
I trimmed the center and the border strips and sewed it together.  It is 17" x 21".  Now I'm not sure if it is a table centerpiece or small wall art.

My other project yesterday was ironing the creases out of 23 pink fabrics.  I have wanted to make an all pink quilt for a long time.  The fabric on the right is enough for a backing.  I have decided to do another 16 patch quilt because that is great mindless sewing while watching Netflix.  Some of the fabrics are fairly small pieces so the larger pieces will be repeated more often in the quilt.  There is no hurry on this project and it will be a fill in when I don't have anything else to work on.  I will start cutting strips today.

Happy Blogiversary!!! I am so glad you were talked into blogging! I enjoy it so much! I am looking forward to retiring in three years. Am "building" my stash --- at least, that's the excuse I'm using for my whim buying. I've made tops for years, with the intent of getting a longarm quilting machine to finish. I realized that dream 2 1/2 years ago and have had a blast learning the machine and finishing quilt tops. Initially, I thought it might be a way to earn money after I retire, but I'm having such a blast doing what I want and gifting my quilts away, that I may change my initial plan and just enjoy. Have a great 4th of July!!

Happy anniversary, Wanda. I haven't been with you for all 9 years, but I have been a faithful reader for perhaps 7 or so. Your output is a marvel to me; how you finish all that you do is remarkable.

Happy blogiversary! 9 years WOW.

That all pink is a great idea. I came into an overabundance of lilac and lavender fabrics and I may do the same thing.

Congratulations - it is amazing how time flies when blogging - I knew we started to blog around the same time - yours was one of the blogs I found to read in the beginning of my own blogging - I just checked my archives and my 9 years was in April. It is fun to keep track of our projects, share information and have fun keeping a daily (or almost) journal

Happy 9th, Wanda. I've enjoyed your posts for 5 or 6 years.
We must have some connection... I've been thinking about an all pink quilt, too. The box that contains the pinks has been calling to me. I probably won't be starting it any time soon as there are way too many irons in the fire already. I will enjoy watching yours progress.
Hugs and thanks for all the great quilt and garden entertainment.

Happy happy day for all of us to share your quilting journey all these years. I still have my pink fabric tied up from 2+ years ago when you helped me with fabrics. I also plan on making another 16 squares block quilt, I just finished binding a child's one last night, I love it. I'm mainly a bright color person but occasionally I like love pale fabrics together. Looking forward to seeing how you make this one.

Congratulations Wanda, and until you start a blog, edit photos, check words, and post it, no-one realises all the background time that goes into this. Love those pinks and the finished blocks, a fabric of art for sure.
