Drying out......

I spent the bulk of the day yesterday mopping up the water and doing laundry.  I have 2 dehumidifiers and 3 fans running down there hoping to speed up the drying process.  3 area rugs were soaked and one will get pitched.  I think the other 2 will be OK.  Last night I decided to pull some Kaffe prints to add to the batik strips for the Stepping Stones pattern.  Once I start making them I'll probably know if I want to substitute any fabrics.  I have a lot of boxes to put back in place today so I don't know if I'll get around to any sewing.

I'm sorry you're dealing with the water, but as you said yesterday, it could have been worse. Glad you're getting cleared up.

The colors and patterns are wonderful. Just love your color choices- wish I had them to work with-although I could not do a pattern like yours. Sorry you had to deal with flooding!

I sure understand your dilemma, and priorities like mopping up came first.

You didn't loose any fabric and that is the positive.

So Wanda, since you added the KF fabrics, are you going to mix those in with the batiks? I recently quilted a quilt with both, and it was awesome!! Looking forward to watching this one grow!

Hope the basement gets dry soon, lovely fabrics, they are a tonic in themselves, just to look at ,pick up, rearrange, and the next quilt will be a real treat for us to see. Take care, Greetings from Jean
