I put this medallion piece back up on the design wall and tried a few pieces for continuing borders, trying to figure out if it needs medium or dark or bright fabric. I have a box full of 4" Broken Dishes blocks that might get used for a border.
I also have the other Maria Derse tall triangles quit top in progress that needs a decision on the insert strip fabric. I think this one will come down and that one will go up on the wall.
I cut 20+ more green fabrics in 1.5" squares but I see I need more mediums. I'll look for those today as well as purples.
I got a new color of yarn for dishcloths. It's a little more toward turquoise than others I have used.
We got up to mid 50s yesterday and now they say high 70s for today. They originally said we would have 4 dry days but now there is rain in the forecast again a couple times.

Wondering why you need an insert strip in that triangle quilt? It's gorgeous with only the triangles!
The medallion reminds me of Fonthill, which I know you made a couple of years ago....sort of "son of Fonthill"?
Your medallion quilt has been taking its sweet time, hasn’t it? The tray of greens looks inviting…..like spring is coming. We had a hard freeze last night so the yellow magnolia flowers are done for. It remains to be seen if the buds that hadn’t opened will make it or not. The sky is blue so I think we’ll have a break from the rain.
I like the addition of the broken dishes.
Tough fabric decisions to make on the quilt. Would love to make another colorwash, just love all the wonderful blending.
I think on the whole Medallion quilts take a lot of time and they are a struggle for me personally. Figuring out the next border always takes me forever (hence my little Frankencrumb is sitting on my wall still with just the stop border).
Pretty new yarn color for your dishcloth;)))
43 here and windy--the ocean keeps us colder for longer every Spring...Tom's off doing errands and I am having a "slow" morning. I got my corned beef in the slow cooker and peeled potatoes and now sipping my coffee still in my pj's...
Retired life is so good...hugs, Julierose
I absolutely love your medallion quilt! It's so vibrant and happy. We all need a little happy these days!
Maybe you're having trouble because its already done???? Its gorgeous as is.
You keep your design wall busy! I love the medallion piece. We've had two glorious days of rain. It's been wonderful.
I saw a photo of a quilt a couple days ago I was going to copy the link and forgot if I see it again I will send it to you - to me it just looked like something you would make.
