Finish # 2 for 2019.............
I finished the hand stitching on this rectangular colorwash last night. I think I am keeping this one. I don't have a colorwash hanging in my house and need to remedy that. It is 24" x 38.5".
I got the orphan block top loaded on the quilting machine yesterday and got the quilting done. I have taken it off the frame and trimmed it but haven't chosen binding. It will be all by machine so hopefully this will be finished by tonight.
I mentioned yesterday that I was going to do meandering with occasional hearts. You may need to enlarge this photo to see the heart.
They are casual free form hearts, not perfect ones. This is the kind I like best.

I like your hearts. They are real and the recipient of this quilt will love it!!!
Two finishes already. Way to go, Wanda!
Love this colorwash. And the size is a good one to keep.
Beautiful colorwash Wanda, and I found it hard to believe you never kept onw for yourself. It's going to make a perfect addition to wherever you hang it.
I like free form uniquely shaped elements in my quilts, too -- so glad that you are going to keep a color wash for yourself!
Perfect hearts, they go along with your meandering stitches. So happy to hear this Colorwash is going to be hanging in your house. It truly
reflects your EXERBERANT COLORFULL creativity !

Great quilt and I like the hearts too.
I'm not surprised that you're going to be keeping this stunning colourwash. Looking forward to reveal of the finished orphan block quilt, I prefer simple quilting allowing the fabrics to shine through.
I often use free form hearts in meanders and also use stars in meanders, especially for kids quilts. Glad you are keeping this one for yourself.
