I got the binding sewn onto the batik Bento Box quilt and started hand stitching it. I have 2 sides done and hope to finish it by tonight.
The other quilt is trimmed now and I chose and cut the binding. If I have a good day maybe I'll get it sewn on too. I plan to finish this one by machine.
I had to cancel the art quilters group for Monday. The ice storm that is in Missouri now will send its remnants up our way by Sunday night but we are only expecting freezing rain into Monday morning. It is supposed to get up to 40 in the afternoon.
t_ullmann, if you are reading this blog, the email address you left me on Wandaful Quilts doesn't work. My email to you gets returned to me. I'm holding the piece of fabric you want hoping you will contact me again.

Your binding looks so nice and straight.
On closer inspection, I love the backing on the trimmed quilt even more.
Binding looks great. Hope the ice storm loses much strength before it arrives at your door.
I heard the ice storm was to get up your way hope that doesn't happen or not bad. I looked at my settings and changed a few things and I know you have my email address so let me know if this still shows up as no reply I'm really not sure what I did to make it do that the other day - must have changed something without realizing it.
Great binding! Both quilts look wonderful quilted. The weather here is supposed to go mild. It is January and there is no snow left on the ground in Buffalo. I hope the ice storm changes to rain for you.
Love how the Bento box tuned out--great back, and a perfect binding!!
Had to check in to see where you were on your quilts. (*._.*) You are THE 'wonder women' of the quilt world in my opinion. Hope your predicted weather changes before it hits IL.

I am hand binding a baby sized batik quilt now and the fabric is the densest I've worked with in a long time. It is Island strips by Island Batiks. I might finish this by summer...!
