Playing with blocks again...........

I took my Marcia Derse fabric quilt sections off my double design wall and moved the Keiko Goke fabric blocks over there (cut with Strips 'n Curves templates sets 1 and 2).  I thought maybe I needed to do the layout as all complete circles since the blocks are so busy.

I just turned 2 groups of 4 around to new positions and I think I like it better.

We have a new interim pastor at my church and she came to visit me yesterday morning.  In the afternoon I mowed my grass since the humidity level dropped dramatically from the day before.  Since I was busy all day I didn't make any new blocks.  I need to cut some more parts today for at least 15 more quarter circle blocks.  My art quilters group is coming next Monday so I also am cleaning up the basement a little each day.
This is one of my favorite hostas.  It is a sun lover and turns lighter colored as the summer progresses.

I have complementary colors in this garden.  The Campanula has planted itself all over.  The sundrops spread too so I need to do some thinning out in this area.

Last night I picked enough black raspberries to top a small dish of ice cream.  Yum!!

love the quilt pieces both ways but like the second choice a little more - these fabrics just really pop. I will wait until evening to cut grass, wish hubby wasn't working such long hours right now so he could do it instead!

The overlapping circles are much more fun. I hope you have a wonderful interim pastor. We had one from Ohio who was wonderful.

That is really beautiful. The flowers look like they are loving the weather.

Yum ... berries and ice cream or berries and cream!

The layout with the turned block is much more interesting! I will have to check and see if I have any raspberries. I have seen some wild ones growing in the wooded area in my backyard. I like the black ones, but not the red ones. It is beautiful here today, cooler, with the humidity low so I may have to break down and mow tonight after work.

OMG Wanda ~ The 'quarter circle' blocks are amazing, I can see the work that goes into each block. Each curve so perfect ! Then to set up the designs you have shown today just boggles my mind. Talk about a WOW factor, this one has it.

Your simple change of the blocks creates a lot of drama- very nice. Fresh black raspberries look wonderful. Enjoy the summer's bounty!

What a difference moving those blocks is! I guess that is why a design wall is so valuable. Humidity dropped here today also, but we still need rain.

I like your quilt so far. Since you're not totally happy with it, the only suggestion I have is to add a little bit of some solid color, just to make it 'pop'! I think black would look nice, or red, or anything you like! Have fun finishing! Glad you're safe and sound after that scary weather.

That's a great way to use those particular fabrics.
