Watching the snow flakes.......while sewing mug rugs.....

This was the view from my sewing machine most of the day yesterday.

The birds alternated between the forsythia bush outside my window and the bird feeders.  There are still some yellow leaves on the forsythia bush.

I sewed mug rugs most of the day.  There are 3 matching in size and one larger one here: 9.25" square and 9.5" x 10.25".

I used a favorite batik on the back and for the binding.

These 2 are the same size as the predominantly green ones I showed a couple days ago: 6.5" x 9".

I like this backing fabric too.

I just did ditch quilting between the squares in these 3 mug rugs.  The larger ones are 9.5" square and the small one 7.75" square.

I used a batik on the back of these 3.

Here they are all together.  Some people like small ones, other people like larger ones.  I have used the larger ones for table mats too.

a beautiful assortment of mug rugs and mats!! The snow looks so pretty and I know you all are so used to snow up there in the north - my daughter didn't even say how much they got they are so used to it.

Holy Moly, look at that snow !! We have no snow and the sun is shining here, though it is 21 degrees. The birds are flying around and I had to go out to break the ice in the birdbath. Your mug rugs are very colorful.

I think I've had enough snow to last a lifetime. I think we got our first frost last night. I hope it didn't take everything out....

We had a smattering of snow yesterday but it didn't settle - your window view looks lovely; hopefully you'll not get snowed in this winter.
Your mug rugs look like a work of art in their own right and like you say, the larger ones could be used for table mats.
Stay safe - stay warm :)

Beautiful mug rugs Wanda! I might have to pull out my scraps and make a few batik ones too! Will you be selling them or are they gifts? We got the snow here along the river in Iowa also but thankfully the snow is out and.....I'm hoping it all melts!

I am thrilled to say that in Buffalo, NY there is not one snowflake and the sun is shining. After last year, it is nice to see the ground! Love the colors in the mug rugs and the backings.

Beautiful collection of mug rugs and how good to be able to have the snowy view out of the window whilst you're sewing. Is your machine directly under the window?

The mug rugs are wonderful. I loved seeing a favorite batik - the purple, blue, with hits of cheddar yellow. I bought a bunch of that years ago and made a log cabin quilt with it and a print. That was a beautiful and interesting batik!

Oh, my! These are so pretty! You are really taking advantage of that snow! I don't blame you - I'd stay inside, too.
