I had a drawer full of mug rug tops, leftovers from many projects, and I finally cut batting and backings for them and started quilting them. I have 19 more ready to quilt.
I only got the binding on one of them before bedtime.
I'm happy to have so many buds and blooms on this cactus.
My two red ones usually wait until after Thanksgiving to bloom. The other one doesn't even have buds on it.
Pretty roses.

Mug rugs (and potholders) are a great way to use up leftovers. What are you going to do with this batch of 20+?
Roses? The occasion? They are always nice to receive! My little cactus has many buds!!! and a few open flowers. They are starting to show up at Walmarts and yesterday Sams Club!!!
Great photos of the blooms. You are so very productive!
I think the mug rugs connected by solid fabric would make a great quilt!
I love the light pink cactus. My plants have never been so full of blooms this year. I just wish I had more colors of plants.
Your mug rugs are so pretty. Look at all of those buds and flowers on the cacti. I have a lot of buds, but no flowers yet.
I do the same thing with leftovers except I mostly turn them into potholders. They make great small gifts. Your colors are so pretty.
Pretty mug rugs, beautiful cactus, exquisite roses!
I still have and use the one that you made for me. I love it!
Beautiful roses! Is there a a special,occasion?
I use bits like that for cat "placemats"....
I would love to hear how you attach your bindings. Do you use the classic method of machine sewing on the front, hand sewing on the back? Do you use the same method for both large quilts and smaller things like mug rugs?
Thanks!
As usual, you are productive! I need to use up some of my leftovers, too. Your cactus is so pretty and roses!!!
So productive! You're really getting serious, good for you.
Your cactus blossoms are absolutely beautiful. I just do not have luck with them, but I keep trying. Your mug rugs are just great. Will you sell them or gift them?
