Blooming.......

I have so many buds on cactus plants and finally they are starting to bloom.  This is all one flower.  It is the most elongated and large bloom that my plants produce.  I spotted a dark rose bloom last night on another one.
I know several of you watched the "Restoration Wild" program on Animal Planet network Friday night because you emailed me.  It features my daughter's family property in NC and I'm in the end of the show where all of the friends and family show up for the reveal.  It is still available on Comcast ON DEMAND until 11/9.  The producer did a great job editing all of the video.  My grandson did all of the aerial shots of the waterfall property and my son made the sign that is on the building.  My daughter's beautiful mosaic hangs inside the building.  It was all very exciting and I'm glad I was there for the reveal.  Click on the photo to enlarge it and see the waterfall as well as the building.

I watched and even saw you as you entered the building. But I watched on a replay on Saturday. I don't know what time since I pulled something in my back and had taken some medication and was drifting in and out of sleep. The building is lovely and your daughter and her husband have done well in following their dreams.

My cactus look great but not one bud in sight. I saw another cactus and the owner told me it will bloom at Christmas but it had no buds or blooms either. I do not have cable TV so I wasn't able to view the show, sorry I missed it.

The house and waterfalls are wonderful..really nice.
What should I be fertilizing my Christmas cactus with? Can I use African Violet food?

Mine are blooming too. They are spectacular this year.

What a gorgeous photo of the property! I thought they did an excellent job of creating a building that looks like it has been there for about 100 years. Your cactus bloom is really nice! Mine has never had large blooms like that.
Also, I've been wondering what type of batting you use?

It was so AWESOME and beautiful!! Did you grandson use a drone for the aerials? Those things are so cool!

I had one question about the show. Was the tractor barn that they took the material from not being used? They really didn't say anything about that. Those were some very nice thick board on the tractor barn and to reuse them on the getaway was perfect.

Just watched the show and what a beautiful build it was! The way they lit the waterfall so you could view it at night was a wonderful and unexpected feature.

Very cool that you are one of the first people to enter and give a reaction shot! Your daughter's mosaic is truly beautiful and perfect for the space and to honor the farm but I have to ask --- have they commissioned one of your quilts for the space too?
