I finally finished the hand stitching on the binding of this batik 16 patch quilt. It is 62.5" x 78.5".
I love the pink and purple houndstooth check batik on the back.
Last night I got two of the first five half blocks sewn for my other quilt.

Hello Wanda, Thank-you for sharing your quilts, they are inspirational! Karen.
The rich colors and values of the quilt are stunning. Such a simple pattern, but such a vibrant whole quilt. The backing is just so super with the front.
This is another beauty!
always a good eye for color!
Oh yes, that 16 patch is gorgeous!
I especially like to enlarge your picture so I can see the fabrics close. This quilt is stunning.
Just beautiful!

That's beautiful!!
Wow. If we were neighbors I'd be peering over your shoulder every day you'd let me for inspiration!
I'm a huge fan of 16 patch blocks. Love, love, LOVE this one, Wanda!
That backing is perfect for that quilt! I am trying to get caught up after being handcuffed with a project (not sewing or quilting) that needed immediate attention.
I am so curious about the half blocks! How do you finish them? Do they get sewn to the other half blocks? I've never seen blocks made this way before so please forgive my questions...
Beautiful Wanda and I love the way you've set the lighter block central.
As usual, it is beautiful! The colors are put together so nicely! This other quilt you are piecing is really going to be stunning also. Can't wait to see it with all the different blocks and fabric combinations!
There is just something about the simple four-, nine-, sixteen-, and whatever size blocks that always make me smile. Of course you have made stand out ones with your wonderful color mastery! It is a beautiful quilt, and I like that backing, too!
