14 blocks sewn, 1 designed.......

This is one of my favorite blocks so far.  The light fabric is Banded Poppy by Phil Jacobs and I love the movement it gives the block.

The block from 2 days ago got sewn last night too and it is in the bottom row.  I definitely need to do some more dark blocks to balance that one.

I got this one designed last night and need to cut 2 more of the pink print squares to finish it.  I might change the center square to a red or pink.

It is almost magical that such disparate patterns and prints can form a cohesive block and quilt. I am amazed how that is working.

Fascinating. I'm back to working with squares and I still can't believe how enjoyable the simplicity can be. Can you please tell me what is the cut size of your squares? Thanks!

After seeing all these beautiful blocks, I think I need to purchase some of the lighter fabric that are associated with Kaffe. I love his really bright fabric but I doubt I have much of the light. Your blocks are beautiful.

The blocks are looking wonderful! Yes, and red or pink center is a good idea.

Your square clamshells are fantastic. I have a bunch of squares leftover from a project that was a bust (unfortunately not Kaffes), but may have to give this a try.

Yes, great movement there, one of the reasons I love the KF and PJ fabrics is that whether a large square, a strip or a small square there is such a lot to see!

You've inspired me. I have eight blocks finished. Amazing how many different block combinations there can be! What is your projected finished size?

I'm waiting until November, at least, and until I see what you do with the half and quarter squares, then I actually might start playing with some of these blocks myself. Just because I don't have anything else lined up and because I really like them. So why not?
