Happy Mother's Day........

The redbuds are finally in bloom.  It was cool yesterday and will be today too so the blossoms may last a few days longer.  I'm at the boring part on 3 quilts, adding sashing, sewing rows so no photos.
Sometimes I can get 2 dishcloths out a ball of yarn, sometimes I can tell it will be a little short.  I started with a white yarn until I had 25 stitches on and then tied on the variegated yarn which I ran out of when I got back down to 25 stitches toward the last corner.  That was lucky and I like it with the 2 white corners.  The blue 9 patch is struggling to look square.
Now I am knitting one from the yarn that looks like string and I love the tweedy look.  I have started another blue one with the friendship star quilt pattern.  I have a third one in progress that takes a lot of concentration so whatever mood I'm in, I have one to work on.

love the red bud-ours is way past that stage of course and having lost our large tree a couple years ago I have to make due with a much smaller one - thankfully I have a lot of small red buds that are about a foot high and will take off growing this year maybe.

My uncle's sister made me several of the dishcloths and I really like them. We are going to be close to 100 degrees today-I am not fond of heat. We are inland from San Diego about 20 milesand 20 miles north. Have a happy Mothers Day and enjoy the cool weather for me:)

Happy Mother's Day to you!
Lovely redbud tree.
Oh My! Thank you for the knitting tip to use up the end of yarn balls by using a different yarn in two corners! I'm at that point with several balls of yarn : )

Here is a trick for your knitted edges. Slip the first stitch in every row. And at the end of each row, knit into the back of the stitch.

Cool things happen when you run out of the material you are working with - it's true of yarn, as well as cloth!

Hope you had a nice day... Pretty Redbud blossoms. REALLY looks like spring... I like the designs and yarns of your dishcloths and I know they will bring smiles to those you are making them for.

We had a high of 92 degrees today... with a week and a half of high 80 degree temps... it feels like August. Nice for a Mom's Day picnic....

But we are to get a cool down next week. This has been another crazy spring of high and low temps in the mountains.

All the trees that are blooming are beautiful at this time of year. The winds a few days ago made my flowering crab look like it was snowing in the yard. Petals were flying everywhere. The lilacs are also blooming now and the allergies are soaring, LOL. It is such a beautiful time of year. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.

I am still knitting dish cloths and just bought more yarn at JoAnn's. They have some bigger skeins. I saw the tweedy yarn there, but didn't know if I would like it, but after seeing yours, I do! I think I'll get some next time.
