I've turned the corner......

I got the 30' wall done yesterday and turned the corner and painted 12' of the next 30' wall.  I moved the desk back and reloaded the drawers, moved the side table back against the right wall, taped the front window, moved more furniture on the 18' stretch that is left.  I hope I can get the rest of this wall painted today.  I have 2 blog readers stopping by on Monday and my brother and his wife will be here from TX Tues. - Sat. so I need the room mostly back in place.  I never even made it to the studio.  It was nice and cool yesterday, didn't even get up to 70 degrees so it was perfect painting weather.  Today promised to be similar weather.  I guess I won't make it out to the fair this year.  It ends today.

I added my "film debut" video to my right side bar in case you missed it on the post or want to watch it again.

This looks awesome! I love the color and you are getting lots finished. I don't really mind painting, it's all the prep work first that takes forever. I once painted my bedroom one corner at a time, so I wouldn't have to move the furniture out. It worked well, actually, though it was in progress for about 3 weekends!

Wanda...you may have missed your professional calling (LOL). You really kicked butt on painting that room and got so much done while making it sound relatively effortless. It's gorgeous and your efforts have definitely paid off.

I've just started following your blog, and have started one of my own! You're really inspiring - and I am finishing more projects now.

You're on the 'home stretch' now and a good day to end your painting project... Monday with all back in order and ready to open your door to friends and family. Looks great Wanda, have enjoyed watching your meticulous painting job.

You put me to shame Wanda! But we ARE going to start painting when it gets cooler here. You know we're not there yet!

The color may not be exactly as my computer shows it, but I absolutely love it. One of the best things I did when I bought this house was paint the (north) living room and my bedroom an orchid--I just love being in both these rooms. (maybe together they are the size of your living room, but I love them nonetheless.)

Really looking good! Great job. I am starting to paint my front porch tomorrow so you are motivating me to start.

Thank you for the pointing out your video. I really enjoyed watching it, seeing your quilts and hearing you tell about them. You really have fun with your design wall. I have only been quilting a few years and don't have many scraps yet, but you have inspired me to be more adventuresome with my quilting. I'm trying the New Year's day suggestion.
