I wanted the quilting on Rainbow River to resemble ripples in the water. After procrastinating for 2 days since loading this quilt I finally tackled it and it only took 2 hours to quilt it. I had to change the bobbin color three times and the top color 4 times.
I had it laying on the table to be trimmed and the sunlight was coming in the basement window and shining across the quilt.

It looks fabulous! I am like you, I have to live with it for a few days too.
We are always our own worst critics. It looks great to me.
It's beautiful. I volunteer to take it off your hands if it doesn't grow on you :-))
The quilting is perfect. What a great choice for this quilt.
Gorgeous! I often don't like what I've done right afterwards but it often goes away.
Love the quilting ,looks like ripples on water
I'm the same way with my quilting. The further away I get from the actual labor, the more I usually like it. I think your work is beautiful.
The quilting looks wonderful! Perfect compliment to the quilt.
Beautiful quilting, it does indeed remind me of ripples on the water! Nicely done!
Fantastic, and the quilting does look like water.Looking forward to the final picture after the binding.
The quilts you do are all beautiful. I too have to live with my work for awhile before I start really liking it. Today is the day that I am tracing patterns so that I get the christmas quilt started with the embrodiery. I have looked at the pattern and fabric for months. Today is the day.
I love the quilting -- to me it looks like a river flowing. It's gorgeous. can't wait to see its formal portrait!
Your quilting looks like water. An excellent choice, in my humble opinion. I'm looking forward to seeing a picture of your quilt using 6 different fabrics in the binding.
That one shot with the sun coming in makes it look just like ripples. I love it.
Nice quilting job. I like your binding fabrics, too.
I LOVE your quilting on this one. It does look like ripples.
