Washing fabric, cutting pillowcases.............

I washed the fabric for the pillowcases and then cut them out while I watched a couple season premiere shows on TV.  There are 15 in this pile.  I have 4 more partially cut but need to find a couple more fabrics to pair with them.  These will be for our church project for the residents of a shelter.

We went from 90 degrees on Thursday to 60 degrees yesterday.  I opened the windows in the morning to cool off the house and then had to close most of them because it got too cool.  I'm ready for the happy medium now.

It's always fun to do these kinds of projects. Our guild is having a pizza night in 2 weeks where we will make the armchair caddy that can also be used on a walker to hold little items. Each of us will bring the fabric for one, and we will cut and sew them at the meeting. We order pizza before we get down to work.

Do you wash your batiks and Kaffe fabrics before you cut your strips for quilts?

Your work is incredible.

I am so loving the temps. The pillowcases are a neat idea. My son has so many sheets and never a matching pillowcase for the kids. Maybe I will try and make some that the kids know will be theirs. Chris

I love it when I recognize the same fabrics you have, in my own stash. Silly, I know.

Just want you to know, I don't comment often, but your's is the first blog I view every morning as I enjoy my coffee or tea. Thank you ;-)

Those fabrics will make some really pretty pillowcases, and lower temperatures sound delighful!

I have the same question, do you wash all your fabrics? I have heard both opinions. A lot of folks like the crispness of the unwashed fabric. We are in the 90s today. I am hoping today will be the last day.

I'm going crazy about the second top fabric left and also on the right side. The one that looks like an ancient book cover. Where does this come from?

Hi Wanda-
Love your header photo, zigazag kaffe. Wow you are always one busy productive lady! It also went from 88 to 58 yesterday to today, amazing isn't it.
