I have a collection that I considered Valentine fabrics. When I got them out to look at them last night, I realized that only a few are specifically Valentine, the rest are heart print fabrics that could easily be mixed into any quilt. The one below is my favorite of the Valentine prints. It is by Alexander Henry, 1996.

Love your paper pieced hearts.
The fabric behind them and you show in the middle picture I just love it...reminds me of the valentines traded in grade school when I was a kid.
Great collection of valentine and heart fabrics. That is one area I really need to build up in my stash.
Today the sun is out but we are back to below freezing temps. Saturday we hit the 50's though!!! Better find that bathing suit... :)
Fun fabrics. I enjoy novelty prints, but sometimes it's hard to figure out how to use them.
That first picture is SO cheerful and definitely says Valentine's Day to me.
We had a glorious day Sunday -- temps close to 4. By Wednesday we're supposed to be back to the dreaded -20 wind chills. Oh, well -- at least we had a taste of spring.
Love those hearts!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, HEARTS...
Nothing makes me smile faster than to see a heart. Your 1996 fabric is absolutely wonderful. Plus every one of your prints. I see the one in the lower right hand corner is another vintage looking one, with the black background. Wish it was my collection.
Your paper pieced blocks are as wonderful as all your fabrics.

I never QUITE understood this. I've always thought -- what is the difference between 6 more weeks of winter, and 6 more weeks until Spring? Haha! More cozy indoor time for quilting!
Great fabric! I love your paper pieced hearts. And spring will come when it comes.
Looks like we will have more time to quilt. Do we really need a groundhog to tell us that?
Cute cheery fabrics. Gotta love them.
I'd be ecstatic if we had only 6 more weeks of winter!
The Alexander Henry fabric evokes memories of the Valentines we exchanged in early Elementary school. I recall loving the Valentine exchange each year.
I agree with Claire above .. never had figured if "6 more weeks of winter" is a blessing or is it bad news???? We have cold until the first of June!
I am coveting your hearts and Valentines. Cute!
Love your collection of heart fabric. You are right you can use a lot of them for any project. The paper pieced hearts are sweet.
Ha, I said the same thing about the 6 weeks of winter just this morning. And by the way, I think the only reason the poor groundhog sees his shadow is because they have so many camera lights shining on him when they pull him out of the ground. Poor thing just wants to sleep the rest of the winter and be left alone.
I love the hearts, Wanda,
I have made a Heart colorwash quilt and a big bargello heart quilt called Melinda's Heart. I also have a number of heart quilt patterns that I would like to make - there is something that calls to my heart about heart patterns- just need to find more time. I especially love the vintage piece of fabric - They are so bright and cheery.
As for the ground hog well- if he sees his shadow we get 6 more weeks of winter or if not we get 42 days more of winter LOL( my husband's joke). If we manage to be rid of winter by the middle of March _ we will be thrilled..
Have a good week,
Anna
That has never made any sense to me either. I love that cute Alexander henry print as well as the pp blocks. what are you thinking about now.....a new quilt maybe?
Sounds like you've been digging in your fabrics. LOL Shadow, smadow who knows and who's going to sue the groundhog if he's wrong? LOL I love the sweet Valentine fabric. Makes me think of elementary school when we exchanged Valentines.
I also have the Alexander Henry fabric. Just a fat quarter I just couldn't cut it up so I just put a red border on it and use it as a table topper. Quilters and non quilters love looking at it and remember sending valentines just like those. I also have my mother in laws old valentines that she send to a fried in grade school she saved them and gave them to me. I cherish them.
