Sewing...........

Yesterday afternoon I sewed on the rest of the sashing strips and then sewed the Kaffe butterfly quilt top together.  The border on the pattern is big chunks of Kaffe fabric.  I thought maybe piano keys would work but it may be too busy.

Last night I started sewing a colorwash wallhanging.

I took another photo of the orange cactus on top of the desk and got it in focus this time.

Our warm up (50s) starts today so the snow should melt fast.  Tomorrow might hit 60 and then we go back down to the 30s again for 2 days.

We are having much warmer weather with rain and on Wednesday our temps drop. Weird weather. Love your orange flower, goes with the Kaffe quilt top.

Your Kaffe butterfly quilt top looks great, Wanda! The choice of the black/white sashing print was a fabulous one...it recedes as the butterflies flutter forward. Great job, as always!

Love those oranges & browns, deep and luscious colours, want to stroke them :-)

First thought ~ Stunning exotic butterfly collection. Anxious to see if you add the piano key border. Another color wash in the making, always a piece to look forward to seeing. Nice photo of your cactus blossoming this morning.

I'll trade your weather for ours.... Wind chill of -20 !

We made it into the upper 70s today and I spotted the first blooming daffodils. It won't last - we'll be chilly and wet again within 24 hours. But it felt sooooooooo good this afternoon.

Your butterflies turned out super and that cactus photo is FABULOUS!

I really like this butterfly quilt. I've not been overly fond of the ones I have seen before, but this one just sings! But then, that's what I expect from anything you do. ;)
