2 down, 2 to go.......

For my 4 finishes in the second 10 days of January I decided to work on the smallest pieces needing finishing first.  This colorwash is about 19.5" square.  I got it quilted and bound yesterday.  I used a brown diagonal patterned fabric for the binding.

Next I sewed the binding on this Wonky Pinwheels baby quilt and did the hand sewing while I watched TV last night.  It ended up 35.5" x 44.5".

The back is a splatter print and it really doesn't show up much here so I took a close up shot of it too.

I have had this fabric for at least 15 years.  It is perfect for this quilt.  There was a nice width strip that I trimmed off so I cut that into 4" finished triangles with my Studio cutter.

I love that splatter print you used on the back, I think I might have something like that around here on my shelves too - you are moving right along on your finishes - you just might get caught up LOL - if you don't make any more new tops for awhile that is :)

Your finishes are inspiring! I'm using January to plow through my UFO's too-- I'm amazed at how quickly it goes when I'm basting, quilting, and binding multiple quilts assembly-line style :-)

Love the wonky pinwheel. Lots to look at and even on the back... perfect for a baby quilt, I think. Give them something to look at when they can't do much else yet.

Hi Wanda,
I agree that you are inspiring us all to get some stuff finished!

Your colorwash quilt top arrived safe and sound. Very cool looking! Now to finish it in an equally cool manner...

Well, you inspired me to try a colorwash quilt. I purchased the 25 pack material you offered last year, spent lots of time gathering lots of floral fabric, and studied your quilts and tutorials. I used the non-woven fusible grid to lay out all my 2" squares. Now I need to sandwich, quilt, and finish. Thank you Wanda!

I Really love the wonky pinwheel; I've been wanting to try out that pattern, and need to do it. You might've provided the last bit of inspiration I need. I've been working on a square within a square using similar color scheme, so I might use the left overs for the wonky pinwheel. I know I have plenty of fabric for both!
