I have started sewing the rows together and have put in 2 edge pieces so far.  I need to cut a lot of strips of the sashing for the edge pieces as well as the partial diamonds.  You can see I did move the lower pink piece one step to the left and it looks much better there.  I can see sewing this together being a week project instead of just a couple days.
I finally found a place to use this fabric.  I'll show you tomorrow after I show my art quilters group today.

I can see why this may take a longer time to piece than you first thought, and you really have me curious about that piece of fabric!

Very nice, Wanda. Your quilts often find their way into my "inspiration" file, not to copy but to learn from and to kick me into trying new things. Who is the designer for that red fabric? It is unique!

The diamond quilt is going to be worth every minute you spend on it -- absolutely stunningly gorgeous jewel-like effect!

That red fabric is intriguing. Can't wait to see what you've got planned for it.

OMG Wanda... diamonds just dazzle ! It would take me a month to tackle this one... and you said maybe a week and that is with all your commitments you have on a daily basis.

When I first saw this piece of fabric... I thought of your kitchen.... but I will wait till tomorrow to find out where it ended up. (*._,*)

Your new kitchen dining table is superb in your kitchen. I love the dark wood, it has a very rich look to it.

I am loving your diamonds. Your unerring eye for color and design just blows me away. Isn't that a Kaffe panel? Can't wait to see what you'll do with it. I looked at one online and couldn't think what do with it, so didn't buy it.
