I finally stopped avoiding the last 54" of hand stitching and finished the binding on this quilt last night.
It's hard to see the beauty of this quilt in a photo. I think the colors are prettier in person. The fabric is Wishwell's Weather Report, a line from several years ago.
The quilt ended up at 47" x 71" and I think it will be my recliner quilt.
I only had a couple pieces long enough to use for the back, also from the same line of fabric.
Storms rolled through around 10 last night. Chicago had over 5" of rain already in April but some of the storms missed us and I have had a total of 3.1" so far in my rain gauge. It sounded like fairly heavy rain for a little while so I'll check this morning and see how much more we got.

Really lovely finish on the Wishwell piece--what a nice one to use for yourself, Wanda. No storms here and we are still warm at 57 early this morning and partly cloudy--maybe we will be getting rain later on and tomorrow...hugs, Julierose
It shimmers! We got 3.5" from Tuesday's storm (my neighbor has a rain gauge). Less last night. No water in the basement but, alas, the water heater has sprung a leak. $$ ahead.
I love this quilt soooo much! One of my all time favorites!
Congratulations on another finish! This is so pretty! I do love that Weather Report fabric.
very pretty....
I know you rarely take "crumpled quilt" photos but the one you shared on April 12 does a wonderful job of showing how pretty the individual fabrics are. Congrats on the first finish for this month!
Wishwell’s Weather Report certainly lives up to its name….like Diamonds in a snow Blizzard. So beautiful !
That was me I forgot to fill in my handle. 😏
I love thinking of you covered in this quilt in your recliner. I’m sure it has much more depth of color in person.
I love this quilt and the fabrics!
I love that quilt. You got a lot more from the storm then we did, we had two storms from one big one that split north and south around us, we got a half inch of rain and low winds and the town south of us has downed trees, yard furniture tossed around and some power outages. Glad it missed us
Love the color washed look of this quilt.
This is lovely
