Working on the binding......................

I had a few sessions of hand sewing on the binding of this batik quilt yesterday and I have about 20" left to stitch.  The star in this quilt was paper pieced many years ago.

Other than that I paid bills and ran an errand and that's it.  Oh, yes, I talked to all of my cactus plants a couple times too.  There are buds on about 10 of them now.  The red ones were the latest to set buds.  The one closest to blooming is white with pink edges.

I've also heard plants like music, when I see plants on death row at Lowes I ask them if they want to go home with me 🤣 the quilt is amazing!

Bills and errands. The cycle never ceases. Most of my cacti are a bit slower to set buds than your's, but I do have a white one blooming.

I had to pay some bills yesterday too and fill out my ballot. When doing all of that I discovered I need to renew my driver license. Ugh! Something else I need to do!

I have been curious if you "force" your catus buds by storing them in a dark cold location for several weeks? Your plants always have such great blooms and I struggle to get mine to produce.

I, too, look forward to seeing this quilt in its finished photo! It's is glorious in the picture and the binding you chose is utterly perfect.
It's a rainy and chilly morning here.

Hugs!

I found the first buds on one of my two cactus plants yesterday! The one blooms earlier and the other one (with what I think m-i-g-h-t be the start of a bud is the one that blooms until almost the end of February). Gorgeous colors in the quilt you're binding.

I always like seeing flowers blooming in the house I'm sure all of mine will probably be done before Xmas but a couple of the plants have buds that are barely there yet you have to look for them so maybe they will be slow. That binding color really looks good with that quilt and backing

My yellow Cactus is sporting flowers now and the white one has budded...I never did separate them, but I will need to after they finish blooming...
the binding fabric looks great on your quilt.
I was off earlier this morning to food shop before the predicted rains come tomorrow...I did get Little Fans quilted though...
still more pieces to go though...hugs, Julierose
